PCTV 80e Linux Support exists now.

For several years I've had one of these little USB sticks and every once in a while I check to see if there's Linux support. Apparently in 2011 the drivers were written but it's taken till now for them to get integrated into V4L. Last night I grabbed the v4l code from their GIT repository, and surprise it's all in there now.

Bike Commuting

We are doing the BTA bike commute challenge at work. I didn't wait for the challenge to start so I actually started last Monday, today is the 7th day I've ridden to work. My commute is about 11.5 miles each way so the miles are adding up pretty quick. So far I've had one flat (a piece of barbed wire) but the weather has been good. We have a shower at work so I can ride as hard as I want on the way in without having to worry about funk. I've been riding my Schwinn since it is setup for commuting/touring with racks, fenders and heavy tires. It's not the fastest bike in my stable so it takes a little longer to get in than it could.

I can see how bike commuting could ruin a person's passion for cycling, by making it an everyday necessity that takes you to the stresses of work along with the stresses of commuting alongside heavy traffic, factor in the minor savings involved and inconvenience and it becomes easy for the individual to justify not doing it.
